did you like blind assassin? i read it very long ago, and consider it one of my favorites, but my memories of it are basically constructed as a series of “perfect” sentences… i really like authors who pay attention to their sentences :] i also remember it being heartbreakingly beautiful, especially during the “anonymous lovers” montages.

Yea I did like Blind Assassin. I did sort of have it all figured out before the end told me what happened, but that’s to be expected. It has a lot of passages of very beautiful sentences… and enough dialogue and sentimental wit to make it stick.
